Legitimate Slacking

A slow cooking meal

I was cooking food the other day and since it had to slow cook, there was nothing I could do but wait. So basically I could slack off and be productive at the same time. If anyone asked why I wasn’t making dinner, my excuse would be: I’m waiting for the food to cook.

This could apply to so many things: my computer’s installing updates, the operating room is being cleaned.

So here’s the challenge du jour. Pick a job or task and come up with an excuse which would allow you to slack off. The more creative the better.

  1. When it comes to bread making, how slack is too slack?? I have just spent over half an hour cleaning up bits of dough from 3 bowls, pots and pans, every aspect of the food processor, the kneading board, rubber scraper… (need I go on? I think you get the picture).
