Steer Clear of Trash

dangerous-trash

Saw this big bright red garbage can out with the daily trash one evening.

The skull and cross-bones caught my eye and, wondering if there may be enough pirates residing in the vicinity to require their own trash can for pirate related things, I looked closer.

Did I see “basura para los piratas?” No!

I saw “residuos peligrosos.”

Hazardous waste.

Not as interesting as pirate trash, but more disconcerting. What’s going on around this neighborhood that someone is disposing that much hazardous waste? And is an open-topped barrel left unattended out on a street corner the best option for disposal of such waste? Perhaps someone with nefarious intentions may be tempted to swing by and pirate the hazardous materials.
