I was cooking food the other day and since it had to slow cook, there was nothing I could do but wait. So basically I could slack off and be productive at the same time. If anyone asked why I wasn’t making dinner, my excuse would be: I’m waiting for the food to cook.
This could apply to so many things: my computer’s installing updates, the operating room is being cleaned.
So here’s the challenge du jour. Pick a job or task and come up with an excuse which would allow you to slack off. The more creative the better.
I’m compiling my code. Ask me again in 4 minutes.
I’d fold the laundry but I am waiting for the dryer to be one.
I’m waiting for the backup to download before I can go onto the next step.
When it comes to bread making, how slack is too slack?? I have just spent over half an hour cleaning up bits of dough from 3 bowls, pots and pans, every aspect of the food processor, the kneading board, rubber scraper… (need I go on? I think you get the picture).
Waiting for the train to arrive
