As part of the moving process back to the USA, I set up a Vonage account to make VOIP calls. Using a Vonage phone requires a specialised modem, which Vonage supplies for free. When it arrived in the post a few days later, I was surprised to see that Vonage had done what seven years of living in the UK had not: made me Welsh.
At least, that’s about as Welsh a spelling of my name as I have even seen … and I even spelt out my name phonetically for the Vonage staff over the phone. I have no idea how that happened …
