In the parking garage where I typically keep my car, I noticed this sign the other day, hanging from the ceiling immediately inside the entrance. Seemingly it is there to help orient the drivers and provide instruction to keep the traffic organized and therefore safe. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the sign, if strictly adhered to, would likely cause more damage than good.
Depending on where you reside, this post may not make as much sense, but for the sake of this post, please consider that in the USA, drivers sit on the left side of the car, and drive on the right side of the road. While I can understand the need for one lane of traffic in each direction, and I appreciate the intention of the sign in sorting out which lane goes in which direction, I believe that overall this sign probably does more harm than good. If my fellow drivers in the USA suddenly switched to driving on the left side upon entering this particular garage, I do believe we’d have some metal crunching.
