While cruising American suburbia recently, I pulled up to a stop at a red light. I glanced out the window to my left. The chap in the car next to me – the only person in that car – was focused intently on reading his newspaper. No need to text his friends or surf Facebook updates. All paper-based news.
I couldn’t decide if I was impressed that the driver was reading a paper newspaper, if I was concerned that he was completely ignoring the road and traffic around him or if I should ask him if he even owns a smart phone.
