Going ‘street’ in Mayberry

A reader from the Chicago suburbs sent in a very humorous photo that he captured on a recent vacation to Door County, Wisconsin.

Bea's ho-made products

Apparently, Aunt Bea has taken a more “street” approach to selling the jams, pickles, pies and gifts that Andy and Opie have come to love.

Don’t forget, dear readers, that you too can send in your photos and observations to be featured on a guest post. We always love hearing from our fans!

  1. Okay, don’t know how Steve made the jump to “yo mama” jokes, but I’m game. Here goes,

Yo mama so fat people jog around her for exercise.

Yo mama so fat she went to the movies and sat next to everyone.

Yo mama so fat when she got hit by a bus, she said “Who threw that rock?”

  2. maybe ‘ho-made’ is a contraction and play-on-words of the ‘hoe’ and ‘made’ as in the jams, pickle, and pies are made from someone’s own garden that they hoe daily. i don’t understand how to make gifts with a garden ‘hoe’, but in these times people become resourceful

  3. Okay, a few more:

Yo mama is so ugly they filmed “Gorillas in the Mist” in her shower

Yo mama is so ugly the only thing that’s attracted to her is gravity
