Caffeine. I’ll sleep better later knowing I had been productive earlier.
well, a proper nap will do the trick.
caffeine, however, is not scientifically proven:

I think I have a “threshold” of tiredness, beyond which the only thing that helps me is a nap. Before that threshold is reached, I tend to decide based on whether I can think of a caffeinated drink that sounds good at the time. Sometimes I am in the mood for tea, coffee, or a Pepsi. Sometimes I am not.

While caffeine might not actually work scientifically, the placebo effect is still good, right? And speaking of “not proven” to help, haven’t you ever had those naps where you wake up more tired than when you lay down?
I’d be interested to hear how pregnancy status and childcare responsibilities play into people’s answers on this one. Caffeine is a less attractive option when pregnant – and naps are hard to come by with little ones to care for.
Caffeine but to be honest if I could powernap like Liam things might be very different!
WFH = I sneak in 10-20 min naps. 🙂
I love the power nap. Just closing my eyes and relaxing my mind for 5 to 10 minutes can often be enough to give me the energy and focus I need to get through the day.
That said, if it’s morning, then I need coffee. At least two doses of the strong stuff!
