A quiet moment brought to you by publicly-traded corporate America

Starbucks within a Target

Earlier this morning, I had the opportunity to visit my local Target. While waiting for a prescription to be filled, I sipped a warm and tasty latte served up by the friendly and personable Starbucks barrista. (It was one of those Starbucks embedded within the Target.)

As I sat quietly, the sun shone through the window warming me on a cold winter’s day. It was a very enjoyable and tranquil experience. As I pondered this sudden moment of unexpected peacefulness, I realized that this comforting little corner coffee shop was brought to me to two massive, publicly-traded American corporations. Ponder the irony there …

  1. Irony is actually a publicly traded commodity now.

@Liam Alanis Morrisette wouldn’t know irony if it bit her on the hand! Isn’t it ironic, Alanis? No,no it is not!
