The mysterious murder of Alexander Litvenko has caused a rift in Anglo-Russian relations in recent years. The topic has been a source of regular news fodder for the BBC.
With that in mind …
As I strolled out of Vauxhall Tube station earlier this week, I was surprised to see someone cleaning the windows of MI-6’s headquarters.
My first thought was this man really cleaning the windows or was he actually a Russian operative seeking to infiltrate British Intelligence’s offices?
There’s been nothing in the news about this, but then again, did you really expect there to be? Espionage is such a secretive game.
If this was just an ordinary window cleaner, you know he was blasting all the James Bond theme songs on his iPod.
I am surprised you took a picture of this building and lived to tell about it.
@ Conall –
Like the ‘window-washer’, I must have been outside the view of the CCTV. The ‘window-washer’ was just above the cameras and well, I must be been outside their range as well.
That said, if I go missing after this post, at least you’ll know where to start looking.
@ Liam —
How would we know where to look? Wouldn’t it make sense that MI-6 would put you somewhere no one would think to look if they were that concerned about your ability to hack into government secrets? Maybe the British version of Gitmo????
@ Meaghan –
Well, at least you could start asking questions of the British Gov’t …
@ Liam,
If I were the British government, I would not like people “snooping” around about a possible spy — perhaps that would end up with me and you being together in some unknown, inescapable locale!
