Where Toiletries Go to Die

hygiene-product-ends

When I go on trips, I often bring along toiletries which are close to being completely used up (toothpaste, shaving cream, shaving razors, etc.) and when I use them up on the trip I throw them out before travel back.

It’s not something I try to schedule, but when I have an impending trip and am packing for it, I do make a conscious assessment of whether there is enough left to last exactly the length of the trip. Furthermore, being able to carry just the perfect amount and discard the rubbish just before I travel home is something I get joy out of.

Am I alone in this quirk? I know it seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to just to throw something away!
