Because a wall doesn’t tempt you to open it.
You should have done your good deed for the day and welded the door closed for them. That’s what I would have done.
And then I would have recycled the sign to help save the planet.
Well I was going to leave the door closed and locked, but still somehow use an object to hold it open…
