The Work Day Soundtrack

When the office production schedule gets a bit busy, I find myself needing to switch from my normal ‘random music’ playlists to one of my focus on work, but enjoy the background music playlists. I think I am pretty unique in that I can listen to a single song for days on end, repeating itself over and over. That said, I also have a few albums that I can listen to without getting bored.

iTunes

So, here is my list:

Snow Patrol – the entire Eyes Open album (except that track with the small child talking)

K’s ChoiceParadise in Me (whole album)

ToolAenema (just the single song, generally played at higher volume levels)

Trash Can SinatrasI’ve Seen Everything (whole album)

There are other songs that work for me too — no pun intended — but those are the tried-and-test favorites.

So, what songs do you rely on to get through a busy day?

  1. Being unemployed the term “busy” doesn’t apply to my day in the same manner as it does for you and CMD in general.

However, when I feel the need for speed I typically find myself reaching for the likes of KMFDM, Mclusky and/or Future of the Left, and Nitzer Ebb’s “That Total Age”.

This reminds me…. I think I need to vacuum.
