When the office production schedule gets a bit busy, I find myself needing to switch from my normal ‘random music’ playlists to one of my focus on work, but enjoy the background music playlists. I think I am pretty unique in that I can listen to a single song for days on end, repeating itself over and over. That said, I also have a few albums that I can listen to without getting bored.
So, here is my list:
Snow Patrol – the entire Eyes Open album (except that track with the small child talking)
K’s Choice – Paradise in Me (whole album)
Tool – Aenema (just the single song, generally played at higher volume levels)
Trash Can Sinatras – I’ve Seen Everything (whole album)
There are other songs that work for me too — no pun intended — but those are the tried-and-test favorites.
So, what songs do you rely on to get through a busy day?
Being unemployed the term “busy” doesn’t apply to my day in the same manner as it does for you and CMD in general.
However, when I feel the need for speed I typically find myself reaching for the likes of KMFDM, Mclusky and/or Future of the Left, and Nitzer Ebb’s “That Total Age”.
This reminds me…. I think I need to vacuum.
Let’s go ahead and add anything by Alkaline Trio to the playlist.
I’d also like to add ‘Dr Baker’ by the Beta Band. I can listen to that song for hours on end.
