In going through my old pictures, I stumbled across this from earlier this year.
For a month or so, I had a real-life human skull as a desk-mate. It seemed normal at the time but now, upon reflection, I realize that it’s an odd thing to have on your desk.
So my question to you dear readers – what’s the strangest thing you have on your desk (or seen on someone’s desk)?
Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow
of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath
borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how
abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rims at
it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know
not how oft. Where be your gibes now? your
gambols? your songs? your flashes of merriment,
They be a paper weight.
There are more things on my desk, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy
Does the fact that having a real human skull on the desk “seemed normal at the time” disturb anyone else?
I’m with Conall on this one…
When I had a job I kept a large rubber rat on my desk. I named it SPG for Special Patrol Group in honour of Vyvyan’s hamster from The Young Ones.
