We’ve all been there: our body hot after a good workout, and our skin dripping with sweat. As we cool down, we lick our lips and taste the salt of our own sweat.
After a recent workout, I started wondering if our lips sweat at all? I appreciate that they certainly don’t sweat as much as other sections of our skin, but do they perspire at all? It would be pretty gross if they did.
Nope. No hair follicles and no sweat glands. The lips are basically an extension of the epithelial cells inside your mouth.
