I pretty regularly wake up before my morning alarm. Anywhere from a few minutes to an hour and a half before the cell phone buzzes to wake me up, my body wakes itself up. This is generally ok by me, as I would rather wake up of my own accord than as a result of a ringing alarm. However, I do not love the panicked adrenaline rush that comes shortly after waking up, seeing the light from the sun and instantly assuming I must have slept through my alarm and must be very late for work!
Of course, I then roll over, check the time and realize that no, everything is ok, I just woke up before my alarm. Unfortunately the stress and the adrenaline do not subside as quickly.
Does anyone else suffer from this early morning pre-alarm irrational freak out syndrome?
Wait… Nobody else does the pre-alarm clock adrenaline fueled freak out when they think they have overslept?
