I’ve long thought bathrooms should have swinging doors just so we can avoid this whole issue.
Naturally, a swinging door would probably bring on its own set of issues.
(sigh)
But the floor needs to wash its hands, too. 🙁
I tend to go for the “elbow crook” move to open bathroom doors whenever possible (although, of course, this requires a long and properly placed handle).
