No Trains After Six

Late on a weekday, long after the business day had ended, I was walking down the street and noticed this sign hung in a set of doors on the sidewalk.

I can’t say whether trains are prohibited from using this entrance strictly because it is after hours or whether the prohibition is always in effect. It does seem pretty clear that if even one train tried to use this entrance, the doors would likely not fare well.

On top of shutting this door to trains, sending the trains across the street to use the stairs seems completely insensitive to their unique capabilities and limits. I predict commuting delays.
