Last.fm controls my social circle

To quote our reader:

“I ran across this quirky message today on Last.fm.

Apparently, you can’t make friends in this world without one of their accounts. How did I make it this far?!”

Thanks to Jared, a reader in Chicago, for capturing this little piece of quirkiness!  We invite you all to share quirky observations from your life with us at chickenmonkeydog @ gmail dot com

  1. Good lord, how on earth do you press OK? That’s bad interface design. Not friendly at all. Ergonomics is way more important than design, people! Ugh!

  2. Anytime someone starts talking to me I first insist on obtaining their Last.fm credentials before I am willing to be their friend.

We can remain acquaintances indefinitely, but to be a friend, well that’s not for just anybody.

  3. @Conall–

I thought we weren’t friends on Last.fm by accident, not by design. this will be an introspective weekend, THANKS last.fm..
