The lobby of a hotel I was staying at recently had an impressive fish pond across from the front desk. It included signs instructing visitors to not touch the Japanese Koi fish in the pond because “it can be harmful to the fish & to you.”
Harmful to me? Is the Koi perhaps the type of fish you wouldn’t want to date? And it is more or less harmful than the weaver fish on the Isle of Wight?
