It is the quintessential self-sacrifice, repeated over the centuries by brave men and women of the world. Honourable souls throw themselves into the fray to save their fellow human beings. Manning the ramparts in the face of a Mongol invasion so that others can flee, jumping on a grenade to save the lives of one’s comrades, rushing into a burning building to save children … these are sacrifices that demand our respect and admiration.
So, it is with great respect that we must honour the pig who is giving his or her life to save that of so many others.
Won’t someone please think of the beer!?
All this attention on saving pigs and nobody is trying to help me adopt beer!
The pig is dead. Long live the pig!
Maybe no pigs will actually be killed. Maybe it’s more of roast in the comedic sense, you know, poking fun of pigs.
Did you hear about the pig with one eye?
“Adopt a Pig is a program designed to help children and their families cope as they face their greatest challenge, fighting cancer. Proceeds benefit a variety of support services for patients and their families.” – adoptapig.org
So its to save pigs with cancer?!
I keep meaning to take a shot of this at the corner. The kids think it is funny too.
