During a recent trip to a local aquarium, I spent a few minutes chatting with one of the divers in the shark tank. I was eager to learn how they kept so many sharks from eating all the other fish in the tank. The simple answer: they feed the sharks three days per week, which is about 2 times more than they would eat in the wild.
Pondering that approach to shark control, I began to think about the upcoming family holidays in America. There will be plenty of occasions for family gatherings with relatives who may not get along so well, circling and swirling in the same house for days on end. Maybe I should take aquarium’s shark management approach and just keep everyone stuffed to the point where they are too full and satiated to complain or bicker.
