Is That Beer Too Cold?

While a cold beer is definitely good, and colder beer might be even better, is the coldest beer really something you want?

Can beer be too cold?

Would you be willing to travel to the next liquor store up the street to attain beer that is a few degrees colder?

  1. Personally, I think cold enough is cold enough. I am highly unlikely to go the extra mile to get the coldest in town. Unless is was supercooled or something extraordinary, then I might go try it once.

  2. Is it Coors Light that has little icons that change color so that those who drink it can know when their beer is cold enough? That strikes me as very gimmicky.

    Also, when a beer is really cold, it lose some of its flavor. So, serving beer super ice cold reduces the flavor that the drinker will taste. Then again, maybe that’s what Coors was after …
