In addition to ignorance being bliss, ignorance is also sometimes quite amusing. Take, for example, this little sign I saw inside of a heavy-duty truck engine.
Grease three Zerks.
After I read the sign, I looked up the term Zerk online, to discover that it is a grease fitting. However, prior to finding out the real meaning, I was able to allow myself to think that perhaps I was being instructed to either bribe or murder three aliens of the Zerk race.
Of course, people nearby probably thought I was weird for giggling after reading this sign, but I think the trade off of amusement and embarrassment is worth it. Ignorance for the win!
