The packaging reads:
No hormones. Federal Regulations prohibit the use of hormones in poultry.
So, were chicken farmers injecting testosterone in roosters to make them more attractive to the chickens? Something else?
And I love that the implication that hormones are not used because of Federal Regulations — and not as a result of, say, a sense of not messing with Mother Nature.
Growth hormone. More chicken for the money. And whose regulations prohibit that?
