I’ve been wondering lately whether or not chicks would dig guys who have memorized a lot of the scanner codes that grocery stores use for fruit and vegetables. I think it would make for (1) a good bit of trivia knowledge and (2) a time-saving habit when going through the self-checkout line at your local grocery store.
I think the banana code is 4011. Right?

I love making spinach-based salads at my local grocer. Maybe a bit more expensive than buying all the particulars and assembling at home, but the problem is that too many things go bad before I get through it all.
In the end I think I come out ahead.
While preparing tonight’s dinner, I just discovered that butternut squash is #4759.
And Jumbo Red Onion is #4082!
Not so much the codes, but the little stickers they insist on putting on each piece of fruit and veg are REALLY annoying to me. Such a pain to take off and bin when you are making dinner.
After several months of this post being online, and with no women leaving comments, I am guessing that we can safely assume that women are not likely to dig a guy simply because he has memorized a lot of vegetable scanner codes.
