I found this pair of trousers in my closet last week. Looking closely at the date (it’s in the UK format), I noticed that I had the trousers dry cleaned on the 2nd of September in 2005. Seven years ago. Seven. Years. Ago. And they’re still in the dry cleaning bag. I had them dry cleaned more than 3,500 miles away from where I live now. And they’re still in the bag.
(1) Did I never get that second job interview?
(2) Was I only invited to one wedding? I must have been that guy at the wedding.
(3) Why have I not seen this in my closet before?
(4) Why have I not given this away before?
