My Safeway brand aluminum foil is “Packaged in USA/Metal of Russia,” which made me realize that aluminum foil may be more than just flattened aluminum. After some internet research, it was confirmed that the aluminum is now often laminated to paper or plastic. In addition, I learned that despite the metal in my box being ‘of Russia,’ the first aluminum foil was manufactured in Switzerland.
Where is your aluminum foil metal from?
P.S. If you email in photos of your aluminum foil, we’ll post ’em in connection with this discussion.
Our fine aluminums are imported from all parts of the world. Russia, Australia, New Guinea, Madagascar, Central and South Americas are just a few.
I would email some pics but I like to keep my aluminum out of the public eye.
Thanks.
I only have aluminium foil.
