Has McDonalds brought the technological revolution so far as to broadcast WiFi directly from their coffee cups?
No, they have not. The WiFi is only at participating restaurants … not in the disposable cups.
Imagine, WiFi powered by the heat of the drink. The more you use it, the faster the drink cools and the weaker the signal gets. A rapidly evolving, dynamic, diminishing and replenishing network! And for McDonalds benefit, it keeps customers coming back for beverages quickly.
By the way, how lucky was McDonalds for picking a brand logo that looks so good with a WiFi halo, more than half a century before WiFi existed or had a commonly recognized icon?
I already told you, I don’t believe in free Wi-Fi. No such thing.
