Over the recent holidays, I was visiting family in Illinois. As the evening came to an end, I sauntered out to my car to get it warmed up and to punch in my travel destination on the GPS device (satellite navigation). Already having entered the details for my accommodation, I selected it from a list and waited for the device to tell me how to get there.
You may not be surprised to learn that it took me some time to get home that night.
(NOTE: I blurred out the destination in the top left corner of the screen as it is the home address of a family member.)
I am impressed you made it home at all, seeing at there was no route possible.
I think it is the GPS devices way of telling you driving in Chicago is damn near impossible and you shouldn’t bother.
Even Google maps gives up when you punch in destinations which require you to cross oceans! Are you sure you were on the same continent?
@ Conall,
Google Maps used to include directions like “swim 3,500 miles” when you asked for directions that required an ocean crossing.
@Liam, I was going to say that. :p
