My love of patterns, especially unintentional patterns, is strongly disagreeing with my dislike of lateness.
Rather than a coincidental alignment of individual trains being delayed, I prefer to imagine this as some sort of countdown heralding the arrival of lateness. Just two minutes away! Can’t wait to see what lateness looks like.
It makes sense that you like patterns. Your brain releases a small amount of reward chemicals when you notice an unexpected pattern because patterns used to save our lives. Also, your subconscious mind is paying attention to much more then you are consciously aware of and often see’s patterns before you do and calls your conscious attention to them. This is why you are more likely to look at a digital clock when it reads patterns in it
like 1:23 or 12:34.
