Alright folks, you will need to use your imaginations on this one.
Picture this, you are walking by yourself down a fairly empty sidewalk. Turning the corner, you see two people in an audible conversation about thirty feet away and walking towards you. As they approach, they rapidly lower their voices until they are barely muttering or, more often, the pause the conversation entirely, until they have passed you and are moving away again.
Do you know what I am talking about?
Have you ever noticed that awkward silence that ensues when you walk into earshot of two people who were obviously having a private conversation?
Since chickenmonkeydog has so many clever readers, I would like some help in naming this awkward private conversation pause phenomenon.
Any ideas for a good name? Or, if you discover that it already has a name, let me know!

I don’t know you, but I still don’t want you to hear.
Awkwordlessness.
Awkwordlessness has my vote. How do we get it to mainstream?
