These are the instructions on the side of a bar of soap in my bathroom. A close look at the second sentence reveals an ominous warning:
Be sure to take extra care after use.
What!? Why!?
Is there something in the soap that puts me at risk or makes me more risk prone?
What specifically do I need to be extra cautious about? For how long? What’s with such a vague and dangerous-sounding warning on a bar of soap?
Now, there are probably some among you who are wondering why a bar of soap needs directions in the first place. Considering the ominous warning given in these directions, I wonder whether you agree with me that in this case there are not enough instructions!
I use lard soap that a local farmer makes. It doesn’t come with any labels.
