A Brush with the Quirky Indian

chickenmonkeydog is all about the quirky things and life, so when the opportunity arose for one of our editors to connect with The Quirky Indian over the weekend, I was dispatched immediately.  The Editors of chickenmonkeydog really enjoy making random connections across the web and occasionally in person across the world, and this was no exception.

When all was said and done, I felt rather like I’d just left a super-rare top-secret personal interview with an international man of mystery. No pictures, no names, just an offbeat and (off-the-record) conversation.

The meet up took place at Jaihind (a very tasty seafood restaurant in the Bandra West part of Mumbai) where the two bloggers consumed copious amounts of seafood, shared quirky observations, and generally were ignored by the other patrons.

Conall after meeting the QI

Although a bit camera shy himself, at the end of the meal my gracious host was kind enough to take a picture OF ME in front of the renowned restaurant.

I could be wrong, but when I passed him a CMD postcard it may have been the first time a CMD postcard has been HAND-DELIVERED internationally to a CMD reader.

I still don’t know his real name, so he remains – in my mind and in my cell phone directory – The Quirky Indian.

Guess it was the fedora and trench coat that gave me away… 🙂

It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope you did get a chance to walk around the city on Monday. And thank you for the postcard.

    Cheers,

    Quirky Indian
