Some days, completely accidentally, I walk out of my house in the morning having forgotten to wear a belt.
It’s one of those small things that gets under my skin and rankles me all day. It’s not that the belt is strictly necessary, as my pants hold themselves up, but really a comforting habit. Forgetting a belt or forgetting my watch is simply unsettling, and either can put a strange and not positive twist on any given day.
Does anyone else have similar ticks?
Note: It’s serious enough that I keep a spare belt in my desk at work, just for that one day a year I might need it.
