In pondering unique, different and noteworthy, it suddenly dawned on me that there is no product – that I could think of – like Dum Dums lollipops. Purchased by retail businesses to give away to customers. I’ve never seen any other candy give-away and I’ve never seen Dum Dums for sale to the general public. It struck me as a very unique product: a company buys Dum Dums just to give them away to customers. Customers cannot buy these giveaways in the store, so even though they are low cost items, they become noteworthy giveaways … which makes them different.
