What looks to be a fixture designed for overhead lighting has a six foot cord with a common outlet plug on the end. The fixture is attached to the eight foot ceiling, naturally enough. However, the power cord is also stapled to the ceiling and is unplugged.
Is this a prank in progress?
“Hey Larry, why don’t you go over and flip on those lights for me?”
This reminds me of the wiring in a house I was considering purchasing. The wires from a ceiling fan and light ran along an exposed beam to the side of the room, down next to the brick chimney, into the dry wall at the bottom of the wall, out the outlet cover and then was plugged into the outlet. As the “electrician” took the time to drill a perfectly sized hole in the outlet cover, I had to wonder why he didn’t just take the time to wire the fan/light into a switch.
I did not buy the house.
was this at a modern art museum?
It would have to have been so ultra modern that I didn’t even know it was a museum. Looked mostly like a hotel where I spent the night.
