For those of you who don’t know, The Onion is a newspaper that generates funny stories and headlines based on the real comings and goings of daily life, politics, religion and more. The headlines are meant to poke fun, criticize and otherwise make readers laugh.
When reading the news recently on the BBC website, I stumbled upon a story that I could have sworn was written by the writers at The Onion.
Reminds me of childhood spats, screaming “I’M NOT ANGRY! I’M NOT SHOUTING!”
This story made me laugh:
UK Diplomat: You cannot take criticism.
Malawi President: Yes, I can.
UK Diplomat: No you can’t. You get cranky when people insult you.
Malawi President: No, I don’t!
UK Diplomat: You do, you do, you do!
Malawi President: SHUT UP! I do not! Get out of my country! I don’t need to make your insults!
