It has been a few days since Halloween. Those of us in countries which celebrate the holiday are probably sick of candy by now and every day face a less and less appealing set of treats.
On this holiday it is customary to give out and to receive copious amount of candy. Many candy manufacturers produce smaller versions of their candy snacks, and for some reason they call them ‘fun size’.
Why?
First! (Hey I like that. :)) Anyway, its a selling point. Can you think of a positive word for a smaller size of something?
‘Bite size’ also works, playing to all those people who would never eat an entire candy bar, but who would have just a bite … It’s all about appealing to the diet-cheaters of the world.
