It’s a well known and thoroughly documented historical fact that England and France have not always seen eye to eye. How else could the two have sustained a Hundred Years’ War?
Strolling through the St. James corner of London last week, I ambled past the offices of the Ministry of Justice.
So, what do you think it says about the Anglo-French relationship that London not only has a street called ‘Petty France’ but also that one of its key government departments has offices on that street?
Actually…it reminds me of an awful joke. But I’m not known for my taste. Except for my taste in web sites (of course;-)

In order to be duly diligent, could you please head over to Paris and see if they have any streets belittling England?
Perhaps their Ministry of Foreign Affairs is located on “Lame England Lane”?
