I’ve always admired ducks for their amazing abilities to both fly and swim. They can even walk too and to some extent run. That’s a pretty impressive skill set for getting around town and, well, the world.
Yet, I have never seen a duck in a tree.
And I’ve always wondered about that.
I think one of the greatest benefits of flight would be to soar to the top of a very tall tree, land and then take in the view. No flapping of wings to stay up. Just watching the sun, the clouds, and the world around.
I appreciate that duck feet are not ideal for tree landings, but still, you’d have thought at least a few ducks would have been interested in checking out trees.
