Everyone loves it when their pending arrival is eagerly awaited. People love to be welcomed by the local community and to feel immediately at home.
Sometimes, it’s the locals who help promote the arrival of someone new. At other times, it’s those arriving who announce their own arrival.
Regardless of who did the announcing, I suggest that scrawling “NOMADS COMING SOON” on the paneling adjacent to the urinal in the men’s restroom of a roadside bar in rural America is a less than flattering approach to welcoming new arrivals.
