A small watch and clock repair shop in Chicago had two signs posted in its front window. I don’t think it is unreasonable of the shopkeepers to warn that they call the police, but I thought it an odd juxtaposition of the two signs.
Their similar size and language has me wondering …
Do they buy your watch, then call the cops, as if some sort of watch-dealing sting operation?

Interesting. But then again in Half Moon Bay this year, I saw a shop that has two signs ‘Best place in town to pick up chicks’ and ‘kids welcome’ in its window. So I thought, oh some sort of place to pick single moms ..

A reader, who lives in LA but grew up in the area where the photo was taken, told me in the comments that the shop sells chickens and chicken feed. Her parents apparently still buy chick(en)s there. 🙂
