On a recent road trip through through Ohio, I spent the night at a new Hampton Inn. It was fun to stay in a new place, very clean with all the freshness and brightness of a new hotel.
The room numbers all had little black and white images next to them, which I thought was a great little touch to make the stay more personal.
As I opened the door to my room, the room picture immediately made me think of Journey’s Wheel in the Sky. Thanks to that lovely little placard, I went to sleep singing and humming “Wheel in the Rye” to myself.
Is that after some Rye (Whiskey) in the glass by any chance?
If it were me, I’d certainly be pleased to hear that there was whiskey in the jar.
So is that what the catcher in the rye was after? The wheel?
